Yes, you need to register each of your NAICs separately. Register by clicking on the New User Registration link on the Idaho IVS website.

What if we have a small Book of Business and filing FTP will put a strain on our technical resources?
If you insure less than 500 vehicles in Idaho an alternative reporting process is available to you. Please review Section 5, page 13 “BOB Reporting by Smaller Insurance Companies” of the Implementation Guide for additional Details.

Log in to the www.IdahoIVS.com website, click on Account Information, and change the contact information.

I have forgotten my User Name, how can I retrieve it?
For insurance company users, your User Name is the same as your NAIC number.

I have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?
You can reset your password by selecting the Forgot/Reset Password link located on the log in screen of the IdahoIVS website. After selecting this link you must provide the answer to the secret question. A temporary password will be sent to the main/functional contact for the account by answering the question correctly.

Is the website password totally independent of the FTP account credentials?
Yes, they are independent.

We represent three NAIC codes. Can we report all three companies in one Book of Business file or should we send three separate files?
You must submit one Book of Business file per NAIC number.

How do I change my web account password?
Login to the www.IdahoIVS.com website using your username and password, Select "Account Information" in the top menu, Check the "Do you want to update your password?" check box and follow the steps. If you have previously submitted a secret question and answer, then the answer will be needed to modify the password.

Could you provide clarification on the vehicle types that are exempt from reporting to Idaho IVS?

How to Amend SR22s?
If the NAIC number, Policy Number, SR22 Type, and Customer (Driver's License Number) remain the same, then you can send another SR22 to replace the existing SR22. For example, if the SR22 Effective Date is changing, then you can send the SR22 with the new Effective Date.If NAIC number, Policy Number, SR22 Type, OR Customer are changing, then you must first send an SR26 transaction to cancel the active SR22. Then you can submit an SR22 on the following day with the updated SR22 information.

How to cancel an active SR22?
You should cancel an active SR22 by submitting an SR26. For an SR26 to cancel an active SR22, the NAIC number, Policy Number, SR22 Type, and Customer must match and the SR26 cancellation date should be after the Effective Date of the active SR22.

Do agents and agencies have access to electronically submit SR22's and SR26's through the IdahoIVS website?
No, only insurance companies will have access to submit an SR22/SR26 through the IdahoIVS portal.

Will you accept an Out of State SR22 policy?
Yes, Idaho DMV does allow Out of State SR22 policies to be electronically submitted through the IdahoIVS website but it is up to the discretion/policy of each insurance individual company.

How can I submit an SR22 if the customer has an Out of State License Number?
The insurance company should try submitting using the OOS Drivers License. When IdahaoIVS calls the Idaho DMV API with the OOS DL#, it should return the PCN and the user can submit the SR22 transaction.The insurance company should try to submit the transaction with the OOS DL#. If it does not work, then the customer will need to call the Idaho DMV to obtain that number.

Can future SR22 effective dates be submitted?
Yes, an effective date of up to 10 days in the future can be submitted.

Can future SR26 dates be submitted?
Yes, a cancellation date up to 10 days in the future can be submitted.

Will you accept a paper/emailed/faxed SR22 or SR26?
No, All SR22 and SR26 transactions must be filed electronically by an insurance company as of 1/1/2025 through the IdahoIVS website. Paper is no longer accepted via mail, email or fax.

What is the timeline for Idaho IVS to go live?
www.IdahoIVS.com will be available for Insurers to register staring 6/29/2023 and the deadline to register is 07/31/2023. The deadline to start testing is 9/30/2023 and Idaho IVS will be in production by 12/1/2023.

Is Commercial reporting required?
Yes, commercial reporting is required. Please refer to the Implementation Guide for details regarding commercial reporting.

Should vehicles on comprehensive only polices be reported?
Yes, they should be reported in the Book of Business files with the Comprehensive Indicator set to 'Y'

When can we stop reporting to OIVS (the legacy Online Insurance Verification System run by DMV)?
The current Idaho insurance reporting system OIVS will be discontinued after IdahoIVS is implemented and the uninsured identification process is transferred to IdahoIVS. Until then, insurers should also continue their current reporting to OIVS. DMV will issue communication informing insurance companies when AMIRS is discontinued.
